Why Neon is asking you to reinstall once
If you're on Neon 1.12.6 or earlier and updates just stopped showing up, that's not a bug — it's a signing-key rotation, and it's fixed with one reinstall.
What happened
On August 8, 2026 we rotated the signing key Neon's updater uses. It's a security hardening move: new releases are signed with the new key. Your 1.12.6-or-earlier build only trusts the old key, so it can't verify a new update's signature.
Rather than show a scary failure over a signature it doesn't recognize, the in-app updater intentionally stays quiet instead. That's why you're not seeing anything — not because something's broken.
It's lossless

- App data and your safety journals live in %APPDATA%\Neon and are kept — installing over the top leaves them intact.

Por qué Neon te pide reinstalar una vez
Si estás en Neon 1.12.6 o anterior y las actualizaciones dejaron de aparecer, no es un error — es una rotación de clave de firma, y se arregla con una sola reinstalación.
Qué pasó
El 8 de agosto de 2026 rotamos la clave de firma que usa el actualizador de Neon. Es un endurecimiento de seguridad: las versiones nuevas se firman con la clave nueva. Tu versión 1.12.6 o anterior solo confía en la clave vieja, así que no puede verificar la firma de una actualización nueva.
En vez de mostrarte un error que asusta por una firma que no reconoce, el actualizador se queda en silencio de forma intencional. Por eso no ves nada — no porque algo esté roto.
Es sin pérdidas
- Tu clave sigue atada a tu cuenta — no hay que volver a comprar.
- Los datos de la app y tus diarios de seguridad viven en %APPDATA%\Neon y se conservan — reinstalar arriba los deja intactos.
